Wisconsin Power and Light Company Stock

Wisconsin Power and Light Company (WPL) is a public utility engaged principally in the generation and distribution of electricity and the distribution and transportation of natural gas in select markets in southern and central Wisconsin. The Company operates in municipalities pursuant to permits of indefinite duration and state statutes authorizing utility operation in areas annexed by a municipality. WPL operates in three segments: electric operations, gas operations and other. WPL provides electric utility services to a base of retail customers in several industries, primarily in the food manufacturing, chemical (including ethanol) and paper industries. WPL owns a portfolio of Electric generating units (EGUs) located in Iowa, Wisconsin and Minnesota with a diversified fuel mix, including coal, natural gas and renewable resources. At December 31, 2014, WPL supplied electric and natural gas service to approximately 463,000 and 185,000 retail customers, respectively.
