TotalEnergies has formalized its entry into the Bab Gas Cap concession in Abu Dhabi, with a 10% stake, alongside ADNOC (60%), bp (10%), CNPC (8%), JODCO/INPEX (5%), ZhenHua (4%) and GS Energy (3%). This new concession, operated by ADNOC Onshore, will allow the partners to develop the vast resources of the gas cap in the Bab onshore field, with a target production capacity of 1.5bn cubic feet per day.

RWE Becomes Amprion's Majority Shareholder
German energy group RWE said yesterday it has reached an agreement with five shareholders in the M31 consortium to acquire indirect stakes in Amprion, one of Germany's four electricity transmission system operators (TSOs). Following the transaction, RWE's total pro rata stake in Amprion will rise to 55%, also making the utility a direct shareholder in M31 (which currently holds 74.9% of Amprion). The remaining stake (25.1%) will stay with RWE Alkaios, a joint venture between RWE and Apollo Global Management.
