New Stratus Energy Inc. is a Canada-based oil and gas company. The Company is engaged in the acquisition, exploration, and development of oil and gas properties. The Company has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire an over 49% equity stake in Operaciones Petroleras Soledad S.de R.L. de C.V. (OPS), a private oil and gas company in Mexico. OPS is the third-party contractor and operator of a hydrocarbons production contractor on the Soledad block. The Soledad block is located in the State of Veracruz in eastern Mexico, which covers an area of over 124 square kilometers (km2). The Company has also submitted a formal application to operate and invest in the development of Block 192 in Peru.
