The International Association of Bomb Technicians & Investigators (IABTI) is a nonprofit professional organization dedicated to countering bombs and weapons of mass destruction. The non-profit company is based in Fredericksburg, VA. Its membership includes first responders such as police officers, firefighters, soldiers, analysts, and WMD specialists who work internationally to combat terrorism and criminal activities involving explosive devices. IABTI promotes collaboration, research, education, and professional competence among bomb technicians and post-blast investigators through training programs, certification, and information exchange. The association organizes annual and regional in-service training sessions, hosts an international training and expo event, and publishes a bi-monthly magazine called "Detonator" for its members. It also produces an explosive ordnance disposal equipment buyer’s guide and maintains partnerships with entities like the National Center for Explosives Training and Research.
