Mr. Robert P.
Merrifield is the Head of Investment Management for Sevenoaks at Sanlam Private Investments (UK) Ltd.
He joined the City in 1985 and trained as a Private Client Stock Broker before moving to the institutional side of the business.
In 1991, Mr. Merrifield was appointed Fund Manager of Majedie Investment Trust and subsequently joined Hansard Fund Managers where he was responsible for UK and international equity funds.
He also worked as Head of Sales at Savoy Investment Management Ltd., Head of Business Development at Ashcourt Asset Management Ltd., and Head of Research at Morgan Stanley Quilter.
He joined Sanlam Private Investments from Legal & General where he was responsible for managing key relationships, fund research and selection and for model portfolios.
Mr. Merrifield holds an MBA from Imperial College and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.
He served three years as an Army officer and remains actively involved in his regiment’s charities.
