John N. Robinson

John Robinson after reading economics at Cambridge University, John qualified as a chartered accountant whilst working for Thomson McLintock & Co, now a part of [KPMG].
He joined Lonmin in 1979 as a financial analyst and held a subsequent post as a finance executive working with the mining operations.
Appointed as an associate director in 1992, he subsequently joined the board as finance director in 1999.
He played a pivotal role in the sale or closure of numerous companies, particularly from 1997 onwards, helping to shape Lonmin into a focused mining company.
