Jay Searcy

J.
Searcy is President of Tailwind Real Estate Equities (TREE) and has been active in the commercial real estate industry since 1986.
J.
is responsible for identifying investment opportunities for Tailwind clients through direct acquisitions, GP or LP equity investment, and debt/ownership recapitalization in Texas and the southern US Region.
The primary focus has been on stabilized and value-add opportunities across all of the major asset classes including office, retail, industrial, and multi-family.
To date, TREE has invested directly, or as a limited partner in over $1 Billion worth of assets.
Prior to joining Tailwind in 2010, J.
was managing partner of Searcy Vasseur Group, a boutique commercial brokerage firm located in Fort Worth.
During this time he closed over $500 million in gross sales/lease transactions.
He has had extensive experience in the sale, leasing, and valuation of all types of commercial properties including industrial, office, retail, multi-family, and land developments.
J.
is a member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) as well as the Appraisal Institute (MAI).
He is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and serves on UT's Real Estate Advisory Council as an Executive Member.
J.
has also served on the Board of several local charities and resides in Fort Worth.
