Hervé Debbah began his career as an industrial applications engineer with Alcatel then Thomson.
As Project Manager for Alcatel, he took part in the national plan to mechanize the French Post Office.
In 1985, he joined software company SYSECA as technical manager for the Embedded Information Systems and Image Processing Division.
Having understood the impact that automatic document reading systems could have in the tertiary sector, Hervé Debbah founded SWT in April 1988.
