Mr. Borgeson started teaching math and science at Finley, North Dakota in 1964.
He taught math at Cleveland Junior High from 1966-1981.
Feryle taught math at Johnson High School from 1981 until his retirement in December 1997.
During his teaching career, he was president of the Finley Education Association and led North Dakota's first successful State and National Teachers' sanctions, which was described by the newspaper as the first teachers' strike in North Dakota.
In St. Paul, Mr. Borgeson served on negotiations, several years on the Teachers Advisory Board, was a building steward, was on the Federation Executive Board several years, the MFT Cope Committee and the SPFTA Cope Committee.
In 1997, he was the recipient of the St. Paul Federation of Teachers' MARY McGOUGH Distinguished Service Award.
He is also currently on the Lyngblomsten corporate Board of Directors.
