BEM is an active, medium-term, fundamental value manager which evaluates the total value of companies in which they invest and goes overweight when they believe the market is pricing a company below its longer-term value. They employ derivatives to gain equity exposure cost effectively, to take advantage of arbitrage opportunities and to lower portfolio risk. The firm performs in-house research, analyzing sustainability of earnings of companies, after tax returns, ESG considerations and qualitative assessments of company management and board directors. Their research team continually monitors stocks in their investment universe and Lead Analysts / Investment Managers modify target weightings as required.
