Hindustan Zinc Limited is an India-based company, which is engaged in exploring, extracting, and processing of minerals. The Company has two operating segments, namely Zinc, Lead & Silver and Winde energy. The Company's operations include five zinc-lead mines, four zinc smelters, one lead smelter, one zinc-lead smelter, eight sulfuric acid plants, one silver refinery plant, six captive thermal power plants, and four captive solar plants in the state of Rajasthan. Its mines include Rampura Agucha, Sindesar Khurd, Rajpura Dariba, Zawar, and Kayad. The Rampura Agucha Mines hosts India's zinc-lead deposit. The Company has a rock-phosphate mine in Matoon, near Udaipur in Rajasthan and zinc, lead, silver processing, and refining facilities in the state of Uttarakhand. Its subsidiaries include Hindustan Zinc Alloys Private Limited, Vedanta Zinc Football & Sports Foundation, Hindustan Zinc Fertilisers Private Limited, Zinc India Foundation, and Hindmetal Exploration Services Private Limited.
