Medical technology company Elekta has appointed Jakob Just-Bomholt from Denmark as its new CEO. He will take up his position on September 1, according to a press release.

Jakob Just-Bomholt was most recently CEO of EQT-owned 3Shape, a Danish innovation company in 3D scanning and CAD/CAM software for the dental industry. Prior to that, he held senior positions at Falck and A.P. Möller Maersk.

"His strategic leadership and international experience, combined with a proven ability to drive profitable growth and global expansion through customer-focused innovation and operational excellence, make him well suited to lead Elekta forward," comments Laurent Leksell, Elekta's Chairman of the Board and founder.

Jakob Just-Bomholt will join Elekta in August to begin his introduction and transition to the role of CEO of the company.
