Airline Norwegian has entered into an agreement to purchase a Boeing 737-800 aircraft currently under lease by the company, according to a press release. The transaction is expected to close during the second quarter and will be funded through long-term financing.

Norwegian anticipates a one-off gain of approximately NOK 85 million, as well as recurring cost savings of around NOK 10 million per year after financing costs.
