Online broker Nordnet reported net savings of SEK 7.3 billion among its customers in May. This represents a 2.3 percent increase from the previous month, when the figure stood at SEK 7.2 billion, and a substantial 132.6 percent surge compared to the same period in 2023.

The number of new customers reached 24,700. The total customer base now stands at 2,470,700, reflecting a 1.0 percent monthly increase and a 12.1 percent year-on-year rise.

Savings capital grew by 5.1 percent month-on-month to SEK 1,346 billion, marking a 29.9 percent improvement on an annual basis.

The average number of daily trades was 317,900 in May, up 7.5 percent from the previous month and 30.3 percent year-on-year. In Sweden, the number of trades increased by 15.2 percent month-on-month to 128,400, representing a 33.0 percent increase compared to the same period last year.
