Blackstone Inc. (NYSE:BX) is in the final stages of acquiring residential services provider Champions Group (Champions Group Holdings) for approximately $2.5 billion, according to reporting from Bloomberg, citing sources close to the matter. The private equity giant could finalize the purchase from current owner Odyssey Investment Partners as early as February 17, 2026, unless unexpected complications arise, the sources said. Champions Group, based in Orange County, California, specializes in essential home services including heating, air conditioning, plumbing, and electrical work.
Odyssey Investment Partners acquired the company, previously known as Service Champions, in 2021 for an undisclosed amount. This acquisition highlights how private equity firms are increasingly targeting sectors that are considered less susceptible to disruption from artificial intelligence technologies.
