KRS’ equity investments include in domestic and international common stock, securities convertible into common stock and in preferred stock of publicly traded corporations. Fixed-income investments consist of publicly traded corporate bonds which selected and managed to assure an appropriate balance in quality with maturities consistent with current market and economic conditions. Investments may be made in any debt instrument issued or guaranteed by the US government or any agency or instrumentality of the US government. KRS may also invest in real estate mortgages on a direct basis or in the form of mortgage pool instruments guaranteed by an agency of the US government or the State of Kentucky.
